The Krause Anti-Bobble Stabilizer connects the stable plastic mount holding the gauge cluster to the cockpit strut, stiffening the entire assembly.  Rather than use heavy stainless or aluminum rods that may have too much rigidity and cause other issues, the Krause Stabilizer is made from a proprietary blend of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, similar to what Yamaha uses in the cockpit area, which has the advantage of absorbing (versus transmitting) vibrations.  This helps further protect your expensive GPS and dashcams.
