The legendary JVB Service Videos are now available through ADV Motorrad! This video covers all of the following bikes, and is designed to allow you to complete all the requirements for maintaining your bike to BMW specifications. It is designed for the 1994-2005 BMW R850/1100/1150 series "Oilhead" (Oil/Air Cooled) motorcycles.

Note - If your bike is an 1100S, 1150, or R1200C / CL with the Servo ABS brake system, you will require the R1200 Hexhead video to accomplish the brake fluid flush.

This video covers all of the following categories:

Removal and installation of the gas tank *
Changing the fuel filter
Oil change, rear wheel drive
Checking valve clearance and valve adjustment
Brake bleeding procedures (non-Servo; see note above)
Replace air filter cartridge
Replace belt for alternator
Spoke check and adjustment
Throttle body sync

* - Although the fuel tank removal and installation will vary by model, the basics are the same. The R1100/1150RT tank removal and install process will be added in the JVB Update section when a bike is made available for filming.

A list of all the necessary tools, supplies and torque specifications to complete all the listed services is included. A typical 6,000 mile service at the dealer will cost approximately $300-350, depending on location. The brake bleed alone can run as high as $200. This downloadable video should assist those of you on the fence in deciding you can do these expensive services yourself, and save money for those all-important farkles, and gas for riding! It is also an excellent resource for those looking to see what the dealer does during a typical service. The only instructions not included, as they are self-explanatory, is how to check your oil, tires, and lights.
