The BUMOT Defender engine skidplate for the 890 / 790 Adventure / R is made of 4mm aluminum with welded construction for strength.  The force of an impact is distributed over a large area via eight mounting points designed to protect your vulnerable oil sump.  The side of the skidplate extend upward to provide significant protection for the lower engine cases - no need for a redundant lower crash bar! 

This item comes in a black powder coated finish with stainless steel brackets and installation hardware included.  For the 890 Adventure / R, the OEM fuel pump guard installed on these bikes is redundant and must be removed to install.
